Every year, in addition to ongoing library funding support for initiatives such as the annual summer reading progam, STEM and literacy backpacks, and library book clubs for all ages, the Friends use your donations to fund special library projects. In 2021, we helped fund the building of the library's Community Bookshelves.
The library mobile van we funded in 2020 has been busy providing books from our bookstore to the community through the Boca Helping Hands book giveaway drives.
We also recently helped fund the library's award-winning Storywalk Project in three local public parks, and provided funding and books for the seven local Little Free Libraries in public places owned and maintained by the Boca Raton Public Library.
