More books! We also offer grab bags of books in our online bookstore here. Online orders are picked up at the front desk at the downtown library.
All items for sale in our bookstore are donated, and sales support the library and Friends events. If you are moving or cleaning and sorting your own library to make room for new books and materials, please consider donating to our organization.
We accept item donations Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00am to 3:30pm.
The bookstore has a door to accept donations. It is located to the right of the library’s glass door entrance. Ring the doorbell and volunteers will greet donors and review and accept book donations.
We are sincerely grateful for the generosity of individuals wishing to donate materials under the following guidelines:
We DO accept:

Fiction and non-fiction books (hard and soft covered)

Mass market paperback books

Children’s books

Books on CD (audiobooks)

Foreign language books
[Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, or German, only.]
We DO NOT accept:

Encyclopedias

Magazines

Comic books

Textbooks

VHS, CDs, DVDs

Cassette tapes

Vinyl records
Volunteers review all items being donated and may reject some items based on these guidelines. Donations must be in acceptable physical condition. Items that are dirty, smell of mildew, are damp or musty will be refused. Such items should be discarded at home. Book dust jackets (detachable outer cover) are required for hard covered books.
Receipts given to donors are limited to a general acknowledgement that a gift was received. Assignment of value for income tax or other purposes is the responsibility of the donor.
The donor is responsible for delivering all donations to the bookstore. Bookstore volunteers use library carts to transfer book donations from cars into the store.
