Why don't you join our September book club meetings?
The Friends of the Boca Raton Public Library presents two book club meetings this month.

The first meeting of the month will be held on September 22. (The 4th Wednesday of the month.) The Spanish River Library is discussing the book “This Tender Land” by William Kent Krueger. This novel is a New York Times Bestseller and is a magnificent story about four orphans on a life-changing journey during the Great Depression. This Tender Land is an enthralling, big-hearted epic that shows how the magnificent American landscape connects us all, haunts our dreams and makes us whole. The Spanish River Library Book Club Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in-person or via Zoom.

On September 28, the library is discussing the book “No Ordinary Time” by Doris Kearns Goodwin. This book is a Pulitzer-Prize winner in history, and is a story of one of the most vibrant and revolutionary periods in U.S. history. It includes an extraordinary collection of details as Goodwin constructs together various story lines of the Roosevelts' marriage and partnership, Eleanor’s life as First Lady, and FDR’s White House and its impact on America as it verged on the brink of war. The Downtown Library Book club meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month and begins at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.
