Programs for Homeschoolers

The Friends presented a homeschool curriculum planning event in August at the Boca Raton Public Library with guest speaker, local homeschool parent and founder of the Tapestry Academy, Candance Lehenbauer. Since then, we have been keeping our eye on some other homeschool events of interest.

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

Check out the new monthly science-based Homeschool Workshops presented by Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. October is all about Creepy Critters! More information on the workshops and registration information can be found here.

Sugar Sand Park Community Center

The Sugar Sand Park Community Center is hosting a variety of classes for homeschool students.

For students interested in technology, there is the Bright & Smart Robotics program, where students will build their very own robot and communicate their findings with their peers.

For student writers, there’s the Once Upon A Story hands-on story writing workshop.

Or join the monthly Early Afternoon Explorers program for homeschoolers, for an educational science experience.
