Frederick Douglass is Visiting the Friends!
Updated: Feb 9, 2020
Frederick Douglass, portrayed by Michael Crutcher, is visiting the home school students of Boca Raton. This visit is part of the biannual Betty Grinnan Friends of the Library Program for American History and is being put on for children of the Florence Fuller Child Development Center and home school families.

He will be visiting on February 13th at 3:15pm. The event will be hosted in the Friends Community Room in the Downtown Boca Raton Public Library.
Michael Crutcher has been portraying Douglass for about a decade. “I want to bring history to life—I want listeners to be moved into the past in order to make them feel as if what they’re hearing and experiencing is present,” he said to the New York Historical Society.
To join us for this event please, RSVP by February 10th
