The Friends of the Boca Raton Library invite local artists to apply to exhibit their work in the 2nd floor Art Gallery of the Spanish River Library/Community Center. The Friends is a service and fundraising organization dedicated to supporting the library in its educational and cultural role in Boca Raton. Our gallery will provide an attractive venue for emerging and established artists. Paintings, collages, drawings and photographs may be accepted. Exhibits will generally run for seven weeks. Application process: Artists may apply by printing (PDF format), completing, and mailing an Artist Application Form with 3-5 photos to: Art Gallery, Friends of the Boca Raton Library, 200 NW Boca Raton Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33432. Please write title and dimensions on the reverse side of photo. Guidelines: Groups may apply, submitting works by each artist for review. No religious, political, violent or nude works will be accepted. Deadlines for Panel Review will be May 15th and October 15th. If selected, artists will be notified in writing and given their exhibit dates. A meeting will be scheduled to review exhibition dates, procedures, and to sign the City's Waiver of Liability and Regulations Agreement forms. Sales: The Artist will provide a typed handout which includes contact information, titles, and prices. Potential buyers may pick these up at the Information Desk and will contact artist directly. 10% of sales will be donated to The Friends of Boca Raton Library.
