Friends Donate to Library to purchase Online Value Line Investment Service!
Patrons now have access to the Value Line Investment Survey from the comfort of their home! This database is a unique source of financial information designed to help investors make informed investment decisions. It includes business descriptions, financial data, statistics, analysis, and evaluations of select companies and industries. The same 3,500 stocks that are included in the print versions of the Value Line Investment Survey - Standard Edition and the Value Line Investment Survey - Small & Mid-Cap Edition are covered in this database.
The Boca Raton Library has an exceptional collection of business and investment materials. Historically the most-used item in this collection has been the print version of the Value Line Investment Survey.
Richard Kuster, Reference Librarian, said, "Thanks to the Friends, Boca Library patrons now have access to the online version of Value Line as well as the print edition. Since the online version is constantly being updated, the financial data and analysis is much more current than that contained in the print version. Also, the online version is more accessible since it is available from your home to Boca Library card holders." He added, "The Reference Staff has been studying the unique features of this new database and we are eager to share this newly-acquired knowledge with the Library's patrons."

Friends Bookstore Now Open!
The Friends Bookstore is now open in its new location on the second floor of the Downtown Library!
Bookstore hours:
Tuesdays: 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays: 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit the Boca Raton Public Library.
Did you realize...
that your Friend's membership sponsors and supports the Sunday Speaker Series, the Sunday Matineé Music Series, the Book Clubs, and the Children's, Tween and Teen's reading programs?
During the summer reading event in 2009, almost 1,500 children participated and read approximately 18,000 books! Five hundred teens and tweens also took part in Friends-sponsored events.
You too can help the Library serve our community. Print the Membership Application and mail it with your check, or drop them off at the front desk of the Library.
